Immunization News-
Arizona Department of Health Services does now accept immunizations (including MMR) given within a 4-day grace period, in accordance with the intervals allowed by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). A notice to this effect is posted on our website at http://www.azdhs.gov/phs/immun/pdf/4-dayGracePeriodAIPOStatement.pdf. It is important to note that there is no grace period for the 28-day interval required between MMR and Varicella doses. If MMR and Varicella are not given on the same day, they must be separated by at least 28 days.
